Elements is a unique web based architecture devised by CTC which supports administration and illustrations in respect of the following:
• Defined Contributions – occupational schemes, AVCs, group and individual personal pensions and stakeholder plans
• SIPPS – including unsecured pension drawdown and ASPs
• Hybrid Schemes – particularly where there has been a whole or partial change from defined benefit to defined contribution
• Contracting-out – GMP’s, protected rights and appropriate personal pensions
• Protection Benefits – individual and group death benefits, PHI and medical insurance
• Savings and Investments – covering the whole range of contract types
Elements is provided on a modular basis and our customers have the opportunity to pick and choose which modules are appropriate to their needs.
The principle modules are as follows:
- Member/Planholder Record Keeping and Servicing
- Benefit Calculation on Leaving/Surrender, Death, Retirement or Maturity
- Pension Payment and Income Drawdown, including PAYE
- On-line Illustrations and Projections
- Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Full Member Unitisation with daily pricing
- Allowance for Multiple Funds and Fund Manager Links
- Full Workflow and Task Allocation Facilities
One of the key concepts of Elements is based on the idea of allowing all relevant parties to have direct access to the system. This can be achieved via the Internet, Intranets or Extranets. Allowing any or all of the following access to tailored data:
- Members/Planholders
- Corporate Clients
- Pensions & HR Departments
- Administrators
- Fund Managers
- Trustees
- Advisers & Consultants
Elements is ideally suited to the world of increasing self-service in which we live. However, the system design recognises that, for the present, all forms of access and communication must be supported including traditional paper-based mechanisms and help-lines, as well as direct access via the internet.
The system revolves around a database that can be made accessible to all users. Obviously different users will have different requirements. For example, in a pension scheme the functions available to members and the way they are presented to them, are significantly different from those required by the pensions department and/or administrators. Elements provides a number of ‘views’ which can be tailored to meet each different kind of user’s requirements.
Elements contains all the standard interfaces, statements and reports that you would expect:
- Bulk extracts and regular imports from Payroll and HR systems.
- Monthly or annual updating of contribution and earnings data.
- Full accounting transactions with detailed or summary interfaces to accounting systems.
- Extracts and reports for Valuation and Statutory Requirements.
- Member Benefit Statements, annually or on demand. The reporting structures are highly flexible and can be set up and tailored to meet your own specific requirements.
Our standard delivery model for Elements is to provide a fully hosted service thus negating, to a large extent, the need to call on your own internal IT resource. However, many clients run Elements very successfully on their own hardware. In either case, CTC provide a comprehensive range of support services to ensure a smooth implementation and efficient ongoing usage.
